The Head Accountant is responsible for applying accepted accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.
*Responsibilities: *
*-*The Head Accountant will be in a manager role with responsibility for one employee
-Lead all aspects of the accounting function including payroll, cost controls, financial reporting, audits, revenue recognition, billing & collections, payroll, sales commissions, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and taxes.
-Effectively manage and delegate accounting tasks to the accounting assistant.
-Perform month end and year end close procedures
-Develop and maintain product inventory tracking to reflect depletion against sales
-Reconcile bank accounts
-Perform compliance reporting for winery
-Oversee the Completion of payroll for salaried managers and hourly staff.
Handle payroll issuers such as garnishments, child support, health insurance and tips.
-Balance daily cash drops, and complete daily accounting entries into QuickBooks
-Job does include minor tasks, such as bank drops, and bank runs, office and post office pick up
Duties are not limited to the above.
*Salary: *$70,000 - $80,000 DOE
