*Seeking:*
St.
Joseph School is looking to hire its inaugural 6th grade teacher as the school launches its expansion into middle school.
The ideal candidate will be a dedicated educator who is excited at the prospect of working as an integral member of the middle school development team.
This will require capacity for flexibility and creative thinking.
Preferred candidates will have 6th-8th grade level certification and experience, though all interested parties are invited to apply.
The school is looking for teachers who utilize current, effective, research-proven strategies to plan, teach, monitor progress and report performance, who use data to drive instructional decisions to increase academic outcomes in all students, and who employ culturally sensitive, responsive, and sustaining practices.
The applicant must respect and be willing to teach the tenets of the Catholic faith and be willing to follow all Diocese of Yakima and St.
Joseph Catholic School policies and procedures, and demonstrate commitment to providing and maintaining a welcoming, safe, loving, and nurturing environment, consistent with Gospel values.
This teacher must embrace the core components of servant leadership, treating all students, staff, parents, and stakeholders with dignity, compassion and respect in both action and all forms of communication, and maintain a commitment to working positively, professionally, and collaboratively with colleagues, students, parents, and stakeholders toward the mission of the school and Church, fostering faith, excellence, and service.
*Responsibilities:*
● Hold a current, valid K-8 or other qualifying Washington State teaching credential/certification
● Be willing to responsibly teach the Catholic Faith and Gospel Values
● Commit to actively applying culturally sensitive, responsive, and inclusive teaching practices
● Exhibit capacity for professional, respectful, effective communication skills
● Have a high level of self-efficacy and adhere to deadlines and responsibilities
● Be able to employ effective teaching strategies to meet the needs of all students and effectively employ data to measure student growth
● Be proficient with the use of modern educational technologies
● Have the ability to successfully employ effective classroom management practices
● Be a flexible and collaborative team player with a growth mindset

Pay: $39,000.
