*JOB SUMMARY*
97 Rock House is hiring an Assistant Manager! We are looking for someone who is passionate about customer service, loves coffee and enthusiastic about growing this fun and unique business.
The assistant manager is responsible for the successful operations of the Cafe.
He/she assists in hiring, training, managing, and oversees the cafe staff to ensure customers receive the highest level of service possible.

*ESSENTIAL DUTIES*
* Manages and motivates the cafe team
* Trains new employees and provides ongoing training for all cafe staff
* Communicate relevant information to the staff as needed
* Assist in all areas of café including preparing food, drinks, working on register, stocking, cleaning
* Work with General Manager to develop and implement cafe policies and procedures
* Help manage vendors and maintain inventory
* Manage product quality, preparation, and presentation standards
* Responsible for keeping cafe area clean, neat and orderly
* Assist in ordering any supplies needed for the cafe/ picking up items from store (Safeway/ URM/ Costco) when necessary
* Schedule/ break compliance arrange coverage/ holds employees to break, call out and time off requests.
* Regular meetings with General Manager and assist in conducting meetings with staff
* Help with scheduling and covering shifts
* Work with General Manager with tracking inventory
* Other duties as assigned
* This position requires you to primarily be working alongside staff behind counter, serving customers, making coffee and helping in all areas of the cafe.

* Must be highly motivated
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Excellent management and leadership skills
* Good organizational skills
* An understanding of food and beverage operations
* Must be able to workdays, evening, and weekends
* Must be able to work 36+ hours a week
* 2+ year experience in food service/hospitality
* 1+ year experience in managerial position
