ABC Early Learning is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director to lead our team of child care professionals.
The ideal candidate is a true leader who understands the importance of positive approaches and knows how to inspire and motivate a team.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee the daily operations of the child care center, including leading staff, scheduling, providing staff breaks, preparing meals and snacks, ensuring compliance with licensing regulations, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for children.
* Maintain and implement educational play-based activity program that meet the needs of each child and promote their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
* Hire, train, and evaluate staff members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge necessary to provide excellent care for our children.
* Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, communication, and professional growth for all staff members.
* Build and maintain positive relationships with parents, staff, and community members, and effectively communicate with them on a regular basis.
Qualifications:
* Degree in Early Childhood Education, or Child Development.
(or min 45 credits, working towards degree)
* Must be at least 21 years old per Washington state requirements.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership role in a child care center or related field.
* Knowledge of state licensing regulations and experience with licensing inspections.
* Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated ability to lead with positive approaches and inspire and motivate a team.
