Under the direction of the Precast Superintendent, the Maintenance Shop Supervisor, will have the opportunity to supervise and function as a working part of our Maintenance Team.
The maintenance team diagnoses, repairs and/or replaces components on all industrial and domestic vehicles, as well as industrial equipment that is operated at Bethlehem Construction.

Essential Functions of a Maintenance Shop Supervisor at Bethlehem Construction: Manages the daily work and safety of the mechanic shop, as well as supervises and coordinates the activities of all maintenance shop personnel.
Implements and monitors a preventative maintenance program for all vehicles and industrial equipment, while ensuring cost effective maintenance and a scheduled maintenance program provide maintenance by manufacturers specifications.
Manages parts inventory and issues required purchase orders based on anticipated needs.
Diagnoses, tests, analyze and interpret technical data employed in the diagnosis of malfunctions, maintenance, and repair of equipment.

Coordinates maintenance of industrial equipment associated with the Precast Manufacturing facility.
Maintains a complete inventory system through recording of all expenditures of each vehicle, maintenance equipment, repair parts, supplies, etc.
Welds; replaces parts; repairs parts; repairs electrical systems; diagnoses vehicles for minor body and fender work; performs tune ups and engine overhauls; troubleshoots problems when needed.
Keeps maintenance and repair records; performs preventive maintenance on all vehicles; orders repair parts Work along-side mechanics assisting with maintenance of all equipment Checks all repair work performed in shop for completeness.
This includes physical inspections and road tests before vehicle is turned back to user departments.
Performs related duties as required.

Requirements: Minimum (5) years of progressive experience in a Mechanic Shop, including Leadership positions.
Proven mechanical knowledge and application of heavy equipment, truck and light vehicles, both gas and diesel.
Experience in hydraulics and electrical systems.
Must have own tools.
Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Good verbal and written communication, and is a good listener.
Must be self-motivated with a positive attitude, and willing to work as part of a team.
Must have an aptitude to learn new skills, and a willingness to manage change in self and organization.
Must be proficient using a computer for documentation and logs.
Must have a keen sense of attention to detail.
Must be willing and able to implement directions quickly and correctly.
While not required, welding experience and technical/vocational training and certification is a plus.
