Old beater, best cash offer, or for those of you who are purists, probably no need to read any further.
As I have been telling people for weeks, "if the guitar does not sell or trade, I will be refurbishing it; finish, paint, cleaning, etc.
, I was thinking of changing the pickups (see below).
So, as of 07/03/22, 3:00 pm the guitar has been carefully disassembled.
It is on my bench.
The first item will be the neck, as I want to see the wood (boiled linseed oil), not paint; however, there are signatures/initials and the date on the neck and in the cavity, I will be masking these off as for me the original assembly techs names/initials are 1981 keepers!.
After the neck/head-stock is finished (I had seen videos of worn frets, and these are not bad, but now might be the best time to replace them also); using a straight edge metal bar, the neck is perfectly flat and straight right now, so that is great.
Simultaneously I will be addressing the body.
I'm not sure of the color yet.
Anyway, thanks for looking! Please
read on if you are still interested, thanks, Charlie.

, old car or truck to work on, I have other musical equipment for sale, 2010 New Fender Deluxe III amp, stock G12P-80 amp speaker; the reason I say "New", it has been turned on once at Avalon Music where we purchased it in 2010.
It was turned on so a comparison between tube and digital amps could be heard, it has been in heated, wrapped storage since then.
Everything still in plastic; other guitars also, not fantastic but pretty good I hear.
I do not play, they were purchased years ago for a bar we owned.
Anyway, I would rather have an old car/truck to work on, VW convertible project, etc.
, have some money.

A pair of rare-vintage 1981 Gibson Dirty Fingers (three screw adjustment) dual screw coils (pair, had been painted?) These may be Tim Shaw or Bill Lawrence (three screw/Bill Lawrence invented the 3 point adjustment), both have modifications to them, they have three adjustment screws, not two.
238-581 and 238-581, both PAT NO 2,737,842.
See pics on the mods, look factory modified but at this time just don't know.

91k and 15.
86k with rings.
Bill Lawrence invented the three point height adjustments the first time he worked for Gibson starting in the 70's, don't know if Gibson modified the base plates of duals for future use using Tim Shaw coils in the 80's, or continues using Bill Lawrence coils, both are 1981.
Please see pics and make your best trade or cash offer, if not, I'll put this 41 year old guitar back in the closet for a few more years.
Thanks for looking, Charlie.
NEW! I have the guitar taken apart, sanded, stripped, for restoration.
