Bethlehem Construction manufactures precast/prestressed concrete panels at our Manufacturing facility in Cashmere, WA.
The precast concrete is then shipped to our jobsites where the Construction Team completes the construction of the project.
For this position, we are looking for someone with the following experience: *Superintendent:* * Has lead a crew of 5-10 people in the past.
* Has created Purchase Orders for equipment/rentals.
* Coordinates all phases of building erection at the jobsite, including supervising, planning, organizing, layout, scheduling and delegation.
* Creates two to three-week schedules, follows schedules and finishes high quality jobs in a timely manner and within constraints of the budget.
* Coordinates incoming panels and supplies to ensure uninterrupted production, by researching prices for supply purchases, equipment costs and equipment rentals.
* Reads blue prints and sketches and gives clear written and/or oral instructions.
* Completes project reports in a timely manner.
* Assumes the role of Jobsite Safety Leader, and leads the production team by training, coaching and supporting to achieve safety, quality and production targets.
* Retains order and appearance of production areas that meet the standards of BCI’s commitment to safety and quality * Conduct weekly “Toolbox Topics” Safety Meetings and ensures that employees and subcontractors are working safely with proper PPE usage and following established safety policies.
* Conducts Performance Reviews, discipline and/or terminations of employees * Communicates with all levels of Bethlehem Construction’s Organization and Customers, Inspector, Other Subcontractors, Surveyors, Labor and Industries *Desired Experience and Attributes:* * Minimum of five (5) years of relevant and progressive experience in industrial/ commercial construction in a superintendent role, preferably precast concrete construction erection.
* Demonstrated proficiency and understanding of management of site logistics and contract operations.
* Must be construction document and drawing literate with the knowledge of all phases of construction.
* Computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
* Essential attributes include: ability to work in a team environment; self-motivation, positive attitude and attention to detail.
* Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to listen.
* Ability to maintain relationships with all levels of the organization and with customers, inspectors, subcontractors, surveyors, and outside organizations.
* Must have a passion for the industry and the drive to be part of an increasingly growing business.
*Lead Carpenter:* * Read blueprints and designs to work to specifications prepared by other construction professionals, architects and building code recommendations * Perform finish and trim carpentry work according to plans and specifications * Measure, cut, and install various fixtures and millwork for doors, windows, ceiling panels, staircases, decking, furniture, etc.
* Erect scaffolding or ladders as needed * Collaborate with other carpenters and supervisors to complete projects * Troubleshoot and repair issues with building components and equipment * Follow established regulations and advocate for safety on each worksite * Designing and installing cabinets, shelving, fitted furniture, drywall and insulation * Adding fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks, hinges and closures * Liaising with clients, suppliers and other construction professionals The successful candidate for SUPERINTENDENT/LEAD CARPENTER position, must have a minimum of 5 years of experience.
Must be dependable and be able to lead a team.
