Job Title: Quality Control Technician FLSA Status (US): Non-Exempt Department: Quality Control Reports To: Quality Control Manager Summary: This position is responsible for monitoring quality control on food production line, ensuring quality specifications are met and ensuring product meets specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Monitor quality control on a food production line.
• Perform all testing and verification of equipment, product, packaging and/or coding parameters as required by Standard Operating Procedures, and according to the specification for the specific product being manufactured.
• Communicate to appropriate production staff, maintenance staff or management when problems arise.
• Record problem and solution on appropriate forms.
• Check paperwork for accuracy.
• Calibrate and clean equipment to ensure results are correct.
• Ensure that packaged product meets all quality specifications.
• Ensures effective safety procedures, tools and record keeping are managed through site leadership.
• Adheres to company GMP’s (good manufacturing practices), safety procedures and all other quality processes.
• Wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) when required.
• All other duties as assigned.

Education: High School diploma or GED required.
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related field preferred.
Experience: Two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Food manufacturing environment experience preferred.
Knowledge and Skills: Candidate must be committed to ensuring that the products produced meet all food safety and quality requirements.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices is beneficial.
Outstanding verbal, written, multi-tasking and presentation skills.
Travel Requirements: None Work Environment/Physical Demands: All work is completed in a manufacturing environment.
Employee must be able to stand for long hours.
