Job Description:
As a Truck Mechanic at Palouse Power, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining our fleet of trucks to meet safety, performance, and regulatory standards.
Your expertise will play a crucial role in keeping our trucks operational and minimizing downtime, ultimately supporting the success of our business.
This position reports to the [Supervisor/Manager's Title].
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on a variety of truck types, including but not limited to semi-trucks, delivery trucks, and specialized vehicles.
2\.
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in truck engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, hydraulics, and other systems.
3\.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and engine tune-ups, to ensure reliable and fuel-efficient operation.
4\.
Utilize diagnostic equipment and tools to identify and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems.
5\.
Overhaul and rebuild truck engines and major components as needed.
6\.
Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used and hours spent on each job.
7\.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, both in the shop and while performing road tests.
8\.
Assist in maintaining an organized and clean work environment.
9\.
Collaborate with the parts department to order and manage necessary supplies and spare parts.
10\.
Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in truck technology through training and professional development.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in truck mechanics is preferred.
2\.
Proven experience as a Truck Mechanic, particularly in [mention your industry, e.

Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent troubleshooting skills.
