This position is responsible for controlling the flow of traffic around road construction sites.
They erect warning and detour signs, position traffic cones and barricades, and inform the construction crew of any safety hazards.

Job Type: Full-Time +, Non-Exempt Pay: $19 per hour, 40 hours per week expected.
Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:30am-4pm.
The shift will most likely change to four-ten hour days.

Directs movement of traffic through the site using approved traffic signals.
Moves from job site to job site as necessary.
Uses a stop and slow paddle and flag, each of which weighs approximately less than 1 pound.
Works in all temperatures and weather condition and will be exposed to nature, i.
e.
, irritating plants, biting or stinging insects, dust, etc.
Works around hazardous equipment Works around moving vehicular traffic.
Minimum Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must have a valid WA State Flaggers card Education & Experience High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience necessary.
Pre-Screen Upon offer, employees may be required to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR check.
License & Certifications: Valid Driver License required.
A valid WA State Flagger Certification Card required.
Travel Requirements: Must have transportation to and from the show up location.
Travels from Job site to job site frequently as necessary.
Physical Requirements: RARE (less than 10%): sitting, kneeling, crawling, climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs.
OCCASIONAL (up to 33%): stooping, squatting, climbing on/off truck, lifting over 10 lbs.

Safety Due to the inherently dangerous nature of the industry and requirements to work with or around hazardous equipment, employees must have sufficient eyesight to judge distance/coordination of equipment and tools, be able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods, be able to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing work assignments, be able to wear personal protective equipment as necessary, be able to enter and exit a vehicle numerous times a day, have the endurance necessary to traverse various terrain, be capable of performing job duties throughout a standard 8- or 10-hour day, be able to communicate with others, read, write, and comprehend written/verbal job instructions and information, and communicate and handle conflict professionally.
