Job Description Summary Leads a zero-loss manufacturing culture focused on continuous improvement and delivering world class sustainable performance as the "right hand" of the Plant Manager.
Works with all pillar owners to deliver needed process improvement to achieve targeted results.
Job Description As the Manufacturing Manager you have ownership in plant culture and the change processes needed to implement VeLocity operating system while driving the site compelling business need (CBN) and creating a zero-loss culture and delivering results.
As Manufacturing Manager, you will provide the support and leadership for all assigned aspects of the plant operations to include production efficiency, product quality, regulatory compliance, physical asset management, supply chain effectiveness, cost control, workplace safety/security/health, community/employee relations and human capital development.
Job Responsibilities: Leads a zero-loss manufacturing culture focused on continuous improvement and delivering world class sustainable performance Manages various aspects of plant production to deliver products that meet quality, cost, volume, and service criteria Defines and directs the administration of plant policies within the framework and intent of the company’s manufacturing policy Formulates short- and long-term operating objectives in areas such as cost reduction, quality, improvement, new product development, and/or integration at the plant level Develops and implements plans to assure achievement of appropriate volume of production for each product produced Ensures product quality meets established standards and that costs are within budget Ensures shipping schedules for finished goods meet customer requirements Delivers results that meet quality, customer service, safety, innovation and cost criteria Implement plans to assure achievement of established plant objectives to include: production volume, recovery rates, and other KPIs at the lowest manufacturing cost Manages raw product to maximize production Deliver the plant FY production plan within budget Effectively communicates with large and diverse populations, influencing cross-functional supply chain and business teams in a matrix environment Understands and adheres to regulatory requirements (OSHA, food safety, environmental, quality) Implements programs that drive sustainable and environmentally-friendly manufacturing and packaging Additional duties as required/assigned Basic & Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or similar field.
Skills and Experience: 10 years progressive experience in plant manufacturing environment with strong preference for potato processing experience.
Previous key roles might include Production Manager, Project Manager (Central Engineering), Plant Engineering Manager.
Experience in large manufacturing operations department management – preferably potato processing/manufacturing.
Proven leadership and management skills.
Leadership of manufacturing processes.
Leadership of continuous improvement processes including cost reduction/savings programs; innovation; customer complaint resolution; plant/employee safety and security.
Food safety and security experience.
Project Management (multi-functional high complexity projects) experience.
Valid driver’s license and driving record to meet company standards.
