Perteet is currently searching for a Lead Engineer to add to our Transportation Design Division in one of our North Central Region Offices (Wenatchee, WA).
Primary duties:
Conducting work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
Determines major project design decisions in conjunction with clients and engineers such as setbacks, location of roadways, storm drains, sewer, and other utility routes, etc.
Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of projects assigned.
Responsible for assuring that the client receives the designs and opinions described in the contract between the firm and the client, and that the cost of the project shall be within established budgets.
Plans, schedules, conducts, or coordinates detailed phases of the professional work in a part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope.
Business development and marketing.
Participation in project planning and design, proposal preparation, and client-focused sales efforts.
Working with a multi-discipline team and providing guidance/training for less experienced engineering staff.
Project coordination, determining and writing engineering specifications, planning work, establishing appropriate design methods, technical report preparation, and coordination with other technical disciplines.
Conducting quality control reviews of completed designs.
The successful candidate will possess:
A Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
Washington State licensed P.
E.
6-8 years in civil engineering design experience, minimum.
Project management and engineering experience.
Experience with preparing construction plans and details and working with drafters.
Writing skills with experience preparing technical reports and writing specifications for construction documents.
Salary Range: $104,000/year to $120,00/year
