Compensation range: $90,000 - $141,000 yearly salary
Core Responsibilities:
The Tax Manager is responsible for providing leadership and supervision to Tax Seniors Associates and Associate staff and managing multiple client projects.
Has a high comfort level of communicating with clients in a concise, timely, and personalized manner.
Additional responsibilities include:
Stay up to date with tax regulations and changes to ensure compliance and accurate advice to clients.
Proficient in corporate, individual, and partnership taxation.
Provide clients with in-depth industry knowledge.
Prepares engagement budgets.
Develops and maintains client relationships.
Ensure that Senior Associates and Associates are up to date on current tax practices and changes in tax law.
Preferred Qualifications:
Hold a current and valid CPA license required.
Strong technical skills pertaining to tax preparation and review, tax compliance, agency correspondence and tax research.
Ability to problem-solve and think both creatively and logically.
Proven ability to self-direct and effectively organize, prioritize, and manage multiple engagements under tight deadlines.
Experience in Construction, Food and Agriculture, Not-For-Profit, and/or International Tax a plus.
Proficiency with QuickBooks (desktop and online), Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting or another relevant field required.
5+ years’ experience in public accounting, demonstrating a progression of complexity of accounting tasks and tax knowledge, international experience a plus.
