Plumbing Apprentice

Apprentice Plumber Duties: - Assist journeyman plumbers in the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems and radiant heat/ snow melt systems.
- Learn and apply carpentry skills for framing and installing plumbing fixtures - Read and interpret blueprints to understand plumbing layouts and specifications - Perform pipe threading, cutting, and fitting according to project requirements - Provide field service support by troubleshooting and resolving plumbing issues - Assist with general maintenance person tasks related to plumbing repairs and maintenance - Gain knowledge of HVAC systems and their integration with plumbing systems - Understand mechanical principles and apply them to plumbing installations - Interpret schematics and diagrams to assist with troubleshooting and repairs - Contribute to remodeling projects by assisting with plumbing system upgrades - Assemble, install, and test plumbing fixtures and equipment Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent - Basic understanding of carpentry principles for framing and installation work - Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings - Familiarity with pipe threading, cutting, and fitting techniques - Strong problem-solving skills for field service support and troubleshooting tasks - Knowledge of HVAC systems and their interaction with plumbing systems is a plus - Mechanical aptitude for understanding the operation of plumbing equipment - Ability to interpret schematics and diagrams for repairs and installations - 1 year experience at least with a valid apprentice plumbing card.
