_*VECA Electric & Technologies*_ is currently searching for a Site Safety Manager for our Critical Facilities Division in Wenatchee, WA.
This role works very closely with the Client, General Contractor, and VECA site supervisors to ensure that VECA safety policies and best safe work practices are adhered to on the jobsite.
Additionally, this role would be responsible for identifying hazards, mitigating hazards, and ensuring the adequacy and supply of personal protective equipment.
This position will be responsible to implement and facilitate safety training and conduct incident / near-miss investigations.

_ *Essential Functions/Duties* * Manage the implementation of established VECA safety policies, hazard and risk mitigation practices, training requirements, and best safe work practices on site.
* Manage and direct the site safety team to ensure adequate resources are available to facilitate safety training, safety audits, safety orientations, and the safe production of quality electrical installations.
* Work with Human Resources to facilitate conflict resolution, required disciplinary action, and maintain a safe and inclusive working environment.
* Procure and distribute required Personal Protective Equipment and required specialty safety equipment.
* Attend and facilitate site safety meetings with the VECA team, the General Contractor, and the client.
* Work with VECA Project Managers to determine the hazards and High Risk Activities associated with the scope of work.
* Daily survey and inspection of the jobsite tasks and environment.
Ensuring compliance with federal, state and local safety and health regulations.
Facilitating correction of hazards and infractions found or ceasing operations until properly corrected.
* Company representative.
Continuous interaction with customers, company employees, subcontractors, vendors, OSHA Compliance Officers and visitors to the facility and other locations.
Continuous interaction with our General Contractor safety representatives to ensure compliance with site safety requirements and to facilitate a safe and productive relationship that benefits all parties involved.
* Safety orientation and Training Instructor for employees.
Areas of training include, but are not limited to: company injury and illness prevention plan, safe work habits and attitudes, confined space entry, personal fall arrest systems, hazardous communications, lock-out / tag-out instruction, etc.
* Maintain records of job site safety audits, safety training, safety orientation, equipment and PPE inspections, etc.
* Conduct incident investigations and lead post incident analysis meetings.
*Knowledge/Skills* * Several general areas: life and safety codes, safe work practices, personal protective equipment, slips, trips and fall protection, fire protection, confined space entry, hazardous communication standards, insulation and coatings, electrical safety, equipment, etc.
* Perform required site audits and inspections both internally and with regulatory inspectors.
* Continuous interaction with customer company employees, subcontractors, vendors, OSHA Compliance Officers and visitors to the facility and other locations.
* Employee must be able to evaluate the use of various resources and make knowledgeable decisions regarding safety and company standards and policies.
* Responding to all incidents, accident, injuries and emergencies in facility or any project the company is working.
Conducting investigations in all areas as to cause, corrective actions, and ways of prevention, writing reports for such incidents and distributing.
* Knowledge and skills of computer use and programs using Microsoft Windows and Office, especially Word and Excel.
*Required Education & Experience * * 3 years of experience in construction safety or equivalent.
* Must have a high school diploma, GED equivalent, or greater educational diplomacy.
* OSHA 10 & 30 HR Certified at time of hire.
* Completed or in the process of completing courses in Occupational Health and Safety.
* Computer experience is necessary especially Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Bluebeam.
* Certified in basic First Aid and CPR * Experience with public speaking *Preferred Education & Experience * * Current in NFPA 70e * Competent Person Trained in: Trenching and Excavation, Confined Space Entry and Rescue, Fall Protection and Dropped Object Prevention, Hazard Communication * Completed or in the process of completing courses in Occupational Health and Safety.
* Computer experience is necessary especially Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Bluebeam.
